Ingredients
  

Strawberry Filling
  • 5 cups fresh strawberries hulled and halved
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Cobbler Topping
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 0.75 cup milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. Toss strawberries with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and vanilla.
  3. Spread strawberry mixture evenly into baking dish.
  4. Whisk dry ingredients for topping in a bowl.
  5. Cut in butter until crumbly, then stir in milk.
  6. Drop topping over strawberries in spoonfuls.
  7. Bake until golden and bubbly, about 40–45 minutes.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for best flavor.
