Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 can chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tamari gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp maple syrup optional
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions sliced

Equipment

  • Wok or large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Wooden spoon or spatula

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add broccoli florets and stir fry for about 4–5 minutes.
  4. Stir in chickpeas and cook until warmed through.
  5. Pour in tamari, sesame oil, maple syrup, and red pepper flakes.
  6. Toss everything together until coated in sauce.
  7. Cook another 1–2 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions and serve warm.

Notes

Serve over rice, quinoa, or noodles for a complete meal.
