Ingredients
  

Steak Bites
  • 1.5 lb sirloin or ribeye steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, plus more for garnish
Cheesy Smashed Potatoes
  • 1.5 lb baby potatoes Yukon Gold or red
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.25 cup grated parmesan
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives or parsley optional garnish

Equipment

  • Cast-iron skillet
  • Baking sheet
  • Large pot
  • Potato masher or glass

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line baking sheet.
  2. Boil potatoes in salted water for 12–15 minutes until tender. Drain.
  3. Smash potatoes on sheet, drizzle with oil, season, and roast 20 minutes.
  4. Top with cheeses and melted butter, bake 5–7 more minutes until golden.
  5. Season steak bites, sear in batches until browned.
  6. Add butter, garlic, and Worcestershire to pan; toss steak in garlic butter.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve with cheesy smashed potatoes.
