Rice Krispie Treats
  • 6 cups rice cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp molasses
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 0.125 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Spatula
  • 9×13-inch pan

Method
 

  1. Melt butter with brown sugar and molasses.
  2. Stir in spices and marshmallows until smooth.
  3. Fold in rice cereal until coated.
  4. Press into pan and let set.

Notes

Do not overheat marshmallows to keep treats soft.
