Ingredients
  

Stroganoff
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 4 sour cream cup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 oz egg noodles

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Pot
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Cook egg noodles according to package directions and set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  3. Add butter, onion, mushrooms, and garlic; cook until softened.
  4. Stir in flour, then gradually add beef broth to thicken.
  5. Season, simmer briefly, then remove from heat and stir in sour cream.

Notes

Do not boil after adding sour cream to prevent curdling.
