  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 0.33 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Method
 

  1. Whisk sugar and cornstarch together in a saucepan.
  2. Gradually whisk in eggnog, milk, and egg yolks.
  3. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thickened.

  5. Chill pudding until set before serving.

Notes

Best served well-chilled with whipped cream or nutmeg on top.
