Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2.25 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Garlic Butter
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan optional

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast with warm water and sugar.
  2. Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth.
  3. Let rise 1 hour.
  4. Shape into ropes and tie into knots.
  5. Rise 20 minutes, then bake 12–15 minutes.
  6. Brush warm knots with garlic butter.

Notes

Brush knots twice with butter for extra flavor.
