Homemade Orange Cinnamon Iced Tea

Ingredients
  

Iced Tea
  • 6 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 orange zest
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3-4 cloves optional
  • 1/4-1/2 cup sugar or honey to taste
  • 2 cups ice

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Pitcher
  • Strainer
  • Citrus zester

Method
 

  1. Bring water to a simmer in a saucepan.
  2. Add cinnamon sticks and cloves and simmer 5 minutes.
  3. Turn off heat and steep tea bags for 5–7 minutes.
  4. Add orange zest and several slices of orange.
  5. Sweeten with sugar or honey while warm.
  6. Strain out solids and pour into a pitcher with remaining orange slices.
  7. Chill at least 1 hour.
  8. Serve over ice and garnish as desired.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and spice levels to taste. Chill overnight for richer infusion.
