Honey Garlic Ribs

Tender, fall-apart pork ribs glazed in a sticky honey garlic sauce, oven-baked to caramelized perfection.

Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 3 lbs pork ribs
  • salt and pepper to taste
Honey Garlic Glaze
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp ground ginger optional
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch optional for thicker glaze
  • 1/4 cup water if using cornstarch
Garnish
  • sesame seeds
  • green onions, sliced

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat ribs dry and remove membrane. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, and ginger.
  4. Brush ribs generously with glaze, reserving half for later.
  5. Cover ribs tightly with foil and bake for 2 hours.
  6. Remove foil, increase heat to 375°F (190°C), and baste ribs again.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20–30 minutes until caramelized.
  8. Optional: thicken glaze with cornstarch and water in a saucepan.
  9. Brush finished glaze on ribs and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Ribs can be prepared ahead and reheated with extra glaze.
