  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 0.25 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds plus extra for garnish
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish

Method
 

  1. Coat chicken cubes with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook chicken in oil until golden brown and set aside.
  3. Steam or stir-fry broccoli until tender-crisp.
  4. Whisk honey, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger for sauce.
  5. Combine chicken and broccoli in sauce, toss until coated.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
