Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until foamy.
  2. Mix flour, salt, garlic powder, and herbs. Add yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Knead dough 8–10 minutes until elastic.
  4. Let dough rise 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Roll into rectangle, sprinkle with cheeses, and roll up like jelly roll.
  6. Place in loaf pan, rise 30 minutes.
  7. Brush with butter, top with cheese and herbs, bake 30–35 minutes at 375°F.

Notes

Perfect served warm with pasta dishes or soup. Can be frozen after baking.
