Ingredients
  

Jam Donut Focaccia
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1.75 cups warm water
  • 0.25 cup olive oil for dough and pan
  • 0.5 cup melted butter for brushing
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar for coating
  • 0.5 cup jam of choice for dimples

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Mix flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil; mix to form dough.
  2. Let rise 1–2 hours until doubled.
  3. Transfer dough to oiled pan and stretch gently.
  4. Rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.
  5. Dimple dough and fill some dimples with jam.
  6. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20–25 minutes.
  7. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Serve warm.

Notes

Use thick jam so it stays in place while baking.
