  • 2 pieces ribeye steaks 1-inch thick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter divided
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Pat steaks dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side, then baste with butter.
  4. Remove and rest steaks.
  5. Sauté garlic in butter, add broth, cream, and mustard.
  6. Simmer sauce until thickened, then pour over steak.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

For the best flavor, let steaks rest before slicing. This prevents juices from escaping.
