Ingredients
  

Potatoes
  • 1 lb baby potatoes washed
  • 1 tbsp neutral cooking oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp green onions sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Equipment

  • Wide pan or shallow pot
  • Wooden spoon
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Sauté potatoes in oil over medium heat until lightly golden.
  2. Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, sugar, and water. Bring to a gentle boil.
  4. Simmer until potatoes are tender and sauce is reduced.
  5. Finish with sesame oil and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and saltiness to taste. Best served with steamed rice.
