Ingredients
  

Beef Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 cups frozen mixed vegetables
Topping
  • 3 cups mashed potatoes prepared
  • 2 tbsp butter optional

  • Baking dish
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  3. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  4. Stir in tomato paste, seasonings, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth.
  5. Add frozen vegetables and simmer briefly.
  6. Transfer mixture to baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Use leftover mashed potatoes for faster prep. Broil briefly for a crisp top.
