Ingredients
  

Chicken Marinade
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Stir Fry
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Lemon Sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
Garnish
  • lemon slices for serving
  • toasted sesame seeds
  • chopped green onions

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok

Method
 

  1. Marinate chicken with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Whisk together lemon sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Cook chicken in a skillet until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté garlic and asparagus for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  5. Return chicken to pan, pour in sauce, and toss to coat. Simmer 1–2 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve hot with rice and garnish with lemon slices, sesame seeds, and green onions.

Notes

Adjust lemon flavor to taste and keep asparagus crisp for best results. Add chili flakes for spice if desired.
