  • 12 oz rotini pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or bacon drippings
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside, leaving 1 tbsp of drippings in the pan.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  4. Stir in onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  5. Pour in beef broth and milk, scraping the skillet to release browned bits.
  6. Stir in ketchup and mustard, bringing to a simmer.
  7. Add cooked pasta and half of the cheddar cheese, stirring until creamy.
  8. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top, cover, and let melt.
  9. Top with crumbled bacon and parsley before serving.

Notes

This skillet meal is best served hot and fresh. Add extra cheese or toppings to taste.
