- Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare cake pans.
- Steep milk with Earl Grey tea and cool.
- Mix dry ingredients together.
- Add butter and blend until sandy.
- Whisk wet ingredients together and add to dry mixture.
- Add steeped milk and mix until smooth.
- Bake cake layers 25–30 minutes.
- Prepare buttercream and frost cooled layers.
- Add optional Earl Grey glaze drip.
Notes
For deeper Earl Grey flavor, add ground loose leaf tea to the batter.
