Ingredients
  

Cookie Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Whisk together melted butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Stir in dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Spread into prepared pan, sprinkle extra chips on top, and bake 25–30 minutes.
  7. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

Remove bars while slightly underbaked for the softest, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
