Method
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and prepare loaf pan.
- Soak dates in boiling water and baking soda for 10 minutes.
- Add butter and sugar, mix well.
- Mix in egg and vanilla.
- Stir in flour, salt, and cinnamon.
- Fold in walnuts and pour into pan.
- Bake 45–55 minutes until done.
- Cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use soft Medjool dates for best flavor and texture.
