Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 cup milk whole or 2%
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips plus extra for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Whisk flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.
  3. Whisk melted butter and brown sugar, then add eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Combine dry and wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips, pour into pan, sprinkle extra chips.
  6. Bake 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use old-fashioned rolled oats for texture. Freeze slices for grab-and-go snacks.
