Ingredients
  

Bread Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¾ cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries halved if large
  • ½ cup sour cream or plain yogurt
Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons fresh orange juice
  • extra orange zest for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract.
  5. Fold in dry ingredients alternately with sour cream until just combined.
  6. Stir in cranberries.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 55–65 minutes.
  8. Cool loaf, then drizzle with orange glaze and sprinkle with zest.

Notes

Perfect for holiday baking or gifting. Glaze after bread is fully cooled.
