  • 1 head green cabbage sliced into 1-inch thick steaks
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped for garnish

Equipment

  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice cabbage into 1-inch thick steaks, keeping the core intact.
  3. Brush both sides with olive oil and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Roast for 20 minutes, flip, sprinkle Parmesan, and roast another 10–15 minutes.
  5. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes of roasting. Use freshly grated Parmesan for best results.
