- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients with sour cream and milk.
- Fold in diced peaches and pour into pan.
- Bake 35–40 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- For frosting, melt butter and brown sugar; simmer 2 minutes.
- Stir in milk, bring to a boil again, and cool 10 minutes.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until smooth.
- Spread frosting on cooled cake and serve.
