Ingredients
  

Donut Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
Chocolate Glaze
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan with nonstick spray.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. In another bowl, beat peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add egg, vanilla, milk, and melted butter.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet until just combined.
  5. Spoon or pipe batter into donut pan, filling 2/3 full.
  6. Bake 10–12 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes before transferring to rack.
  7. For glaze, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter, and milk in bursts until smooth. Stir in powdered sugar.
  8. Dip cooled donuts in glaze, sprinkle with toppings, and let set.

Notes

Donuts are best enjoyed the same day but can be stored for several days in an airtight container.
