- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter and whisk in sugars until smooth.
- Whisk in eggs and vanilla.
- Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Stir in chocolate chips and pecans, then bake for 25–30 minutes.
- Make topping by heating corn syrup, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla until boiling, then stir in pecans, cream, and salt.
- Pour topping over brownies, bake another 10 minutes, and cool completely before slicing.

For clean cuts, chill brownies before slicing.
