Ingredients
  

Casserole
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 3 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
Topping
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • paprika optional

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 dish.
  2. Cook egg noodles; drain and set aside.
  3. Mix cream soups, sour cream, broth, and seasonings.
  4. Stir in chicken, peas, and cheese.
  5. Fold in noodles and spread mixture in dish.
  6. Combine breadcrumbs, butter, and cheese; sprinkle over casserole.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Notes

Slightly undercook noodles for best texture. Add extra broth if you prefer a looser casserole.
