Ingredients
  

Roasted Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese
  • 4 jalapeños roasted
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 2 slices cooked bacon, chopped (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp butter, softened
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Roast jalapeños at 425°F (220°C) for 15–18 minutes.
  2. Peel, seed, and slice roasted jalapeños.
  3. Mix cream cheese, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and bacon.
  4. Spread mixture on bread slices.
  5. Add jalapeños, cheddar, and mozzarella.
  6. Close sandwiches and butter the outside.
  7. Cook on skillet over medium-low heat until golden and melted.

Notes

Roasting jalapeños enhances flavor and mellows heat. Customize spice level by leaving in seeds.
