Ingredients
  

Orange Chicken
  • 2-2.5 lbs bone-in chicken thighs or drumsticks
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 orange, zested
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or 2 fresh sprigs

Method
 

  1. Whisk together marinade ingredients.
  2. Marinate chicken for 30 minutes to 4 hours.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Place chicken in baking dish and pour marinade over.
  5. Roast 35–45 minutes until golden.
  6. Baste halfway and broil if desired for extra caramelization.
  7. Serve with extra glaze spooned on top.

Notes

Basting creates a glossy, sticky orange glaze that elevates the dish.
