Method
- Place sliced onion and garlic into the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Lay chicken breasts on top and season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Pour chicken broth over the chicken and add butter on top.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3–4 hours or HIGH for 1.5–2 hours until chicken reaches 165°F.
- Remove chicken, rest 5 minutes, then slice or shred.
- Return shredded chicken to juices if desired. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
Cook on LOW for best results. Do not overcook.
