Method
- Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain the fat.
- Add potatoes, carrots, and onion to the slow cooker.
- Add cooked beef or stew meat on top.
- Add garlic, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and beef broth.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce and seasonings.
- Cover and cook on LOW 7–8 hours or HIGH 4–5 hours.
- Add peas during the last 20 minutes if desired.
- Taste, adjust seasoning, and serve warm.
Notes
For thicker stew, mash a few potatoes at the end of cooking.
