  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk 110°F
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.33 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let sit until frothy.
  2. Whisk butter and egg, then add yeast mixture.
  3. Add flour and salt gradually to form a dough.
  4. Knead 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let rise 1–1½ hours until doubled.
  6. Divide dough into 12–15 balls and arrange in greased baking dish.
  7. Let rise 30–45 minutes until puffy.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 minutes until golden.
  9. Brush with melted butter and serve warm.
