Spaghetti and Meatball Sliders

Ingredients
  

Sliders
  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 cooked meatballs homemade or store-bought
  • 2 cups cooked spaghetti noodles
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garlic Butter Topping
  • 3 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 tsp Italian seasoning

Equipment

  • 9x13 baking dish
  • Mixing bowl
  • Small saucepan
  • Pastry brush

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Slice slider buns in half horizontally. Place bottom halves in the dish.
  3. Spread marinara sauce on buns. Add a forkful of cooked spaghetti to each bun.
  4. Place a meatball on each, then spoon more marinara sauce on top.
  5. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Place top buns on and brush with garlic butter mixture.
  7. Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10 more minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with basil if desired.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture. Can be assembled ahead and baked when ready.
