Ingredients

Peach Syrup
  • 2 cups fresh peaches diced and pitted, about 3-4 medium peaches
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
Lemonade
  • 1 3/4 cups peach syrup prepared
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice from 7-9 large lemons
  • 3 cups cold water or sparkling water
  • 3-4 cups ice
Optional Garnishes
  • fresh peach slices
  • lemon wheels or wedges
  • fresh mint sprigs
  • fresh berries (raspberries or strawberries)
  • edible flowers

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Measuring cups
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Pitcher or large jar
  • Citrus juicer

Method

  1. Prepare Peach Syrup: In a saucepan, combine diced peaches, sugar, and water. Heat over medium, stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves and peaches soften, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Strain syrup through a fine mesh sieve, pressing to extract liquid. Discard solids or save for another use.
  2. Make Lemonade: In a pitcher, combine peach syrup, fresh lemon juice, and cold water or sparkling water. Stir to mix well. Taste and adjust sweetness with more sugar if needed.
  3. Add ice to glasses or pitcher. Pour lemonade over ice.
  4. Garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon wheels, mint sprigs, berries, or edible flowers as desired. Serve immediately for a refreshing summer beverage 🍑🍋.
