Ingredients
  

Sweet Chili Chicken
  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast or thighs, cubed
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp oil for pan-frying
Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • sriracha (optional) to taste
  • green onions, for garnish
  • sesame seeds, for garnish

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Toss chicken with cornstarch, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Pan-fry chicken in oil until crispy and golden.
  3. Whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, garlic, lime juice, and sriracha.
  4. Simmer sauce until slightly thickened.
  5. Add chicken back to pan and coat in sauce.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Add extra sriracha for heat or honey for additional sweetness. Best served fresh for perfect crispiness.
