Ingredients
  

Taco Rice Bowl
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa or pico de gallo
  • 1 cup crushed Doritos
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water; simmer until thickened.
  3. Prepare fresh ingredients and cook rice if needed.
  4. Assemble bowls with rice, meat, cheese, and toppings.
  5. Top with crushed Doritos, sour cream, and salsa.
  6. Serve immediately while warm and crisp.

Notes

Add Doritos just before serving to maintain crunch.
