Ingredients
  

Onion Base
  • 4 large sweet onions
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1.5 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

Method
 

  1. Slice onions and arrange in a greased baking dish.
  2. Drizzle with butter and season.
  3. Top with shredded cheese.
  4. Bake covered, then uncovered until bubbly and golden.

Notes

Best served warm; sweet onions are recommended.
