Ingredients
  

Alfredo Sauce
  • 0.5 cup butter 1 stick
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pinch nutmeg optional

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, 30–60 seconds.
  3. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Slowly whisk in Parmesan until smooth and creamy.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and optional nutmeg.
  6. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Serve immediately with hot pasta.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
