Ingredients
  

Donut Dough
  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 0.75 cup whole milk warm
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Vanilla Glaze
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Donut cutter
  • Heavy pot for frying

Method
 

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with sugar.
  2. Mix dough ingredients and knead until smooth.
  3. Let rise until doubled.
  4. Roll and cut donuts.
  5. Let rise again.
  6. Fry at 350°F until golden.
  7. Dip warm donuts in glaze.
