Ingredients
  

Sandwich
  • 1 ciabatta or hoagie roll
  • 4 slices salami
  • 4 slices pepperoni
  • 3 slices deli ham
  • 3 slices provolone cheese
  • 3 slices tomato
  • 2 tbsp red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Italian dressing
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise optional
  • 1 tsp pesto optional
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce added after toasting

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire rack
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
  2. Slice bread and spread mayonnaise and optional pesto inside.
  3. Layer salami, pepperoni, ham, and provolone inside the sandwich.
  4. Add tomato slices, red onion, salt, pepper, and oregano.
  5. Drizzle with Italian dressing.
  6. Close sandwich and brush top with olive oil or butter.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
  8. Add shredded lettuce after toasting and slice to serve.

Notes

Add giardiniera for spice or use French bread for a larger sandwich.
