Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 0.75 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter cold, cubed
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chocolate chunks

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Beat cold butter with sugars until combined and slightly crumbly.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing just until incorporated.
  4. Mix in dry ingredients until dough forms. Fold in chocolate.
  5. Scoop dough into tall mounds and chill for 45 minutes.
  6. Bake at 375°F for 13–15 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. Cool on baking sheet before transferring to wire rack.

Notes

For best thickness, keep dough cold and avoid flattening before baking.
