- Dice steak and potatoes into 1-inch cubes. Cook bacon until crisp, then crumble.
- Layer half the potatoes, steak, onions, garlic, and seasonings in crockpot; add cheese. Repeat layers.
- Pour beef broth over mixture and cover.
- Cook on LOW 6–7 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours until potatoes are tender and steak is done.
- Top with remaining cheese and bacon, cover for 10 minutes to melt.
- Serve warm with sour cream and green onions.
