  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 12 rolls Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 6 slices American cheese or cheddar
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch pan.
  2. Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet until browned; drain.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; stir to combine.
  4. Slice rolls in half and place the bottom layer in the baking dish.
  5. Spread mayo and mustard on the bottom layer; add beef mixture and bacon.
  6. Top with cheese slices and the upper half of the rolls.
  7. Brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and sesame seeds.
  8. Cover with foil; bake 15 minutes, then uncover and bake 5–8 minutes more until golden.
  9. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
